So from catching a glimpse of a few post I guess the front ends of our trucks are pretty weak.

I pull in my driveway with the wheels turning one way and pull out turning the wheels the other way. Every morning when I pull out I feel a little looseness and minor "clunking" in the front end right when I start to turn the wheels the other way.

What does this sound like, what do I need to look at replacing? Thanks.

Check ball joints, but in your case, its more likely the steering box or the intermediate shaft.

Ok, a couple questions... how do I check the steering box, intermediate shaft and idler arm? :)

Is the steering box still the old school style where you can cinch up the screw to remove play? I'm just not sure how to test these if they're worn.

Thanks
