Found a decent priced 04 QC 3500 dually 4x4, it has 134,000 miles on it. Didn't test drive it yet but had a question, the truck was cold but started up nice, but while in cold idle it's emmitting a small amount of white smoke, a little puff when you hit the pedal, is it because it's cold or there's something wrong with the motor. The exhaust also smelled funny like bad diesel fuel maybe? Mind you i have had my eye on this truck and it's been sitting on the lot for at least 7 months, mind you when I say cold I mean the motor wasn't warmed up and it's only about 40-50 degrees outside

Take it out for a long drive and run it hard. If it has sat that long I would expect it to smoke a bit. Mine sat probibly that long before I bought it and my tank grew algae. I didn't drive it that far on the test and when I got home it was missing because the filter was plugged. A few tanks of fuel and some treatment and it's been great.

Also the truck is advertised at $18,900 or something, is that decent for an 04 with 136k miles? Here's what it is again. 2004 dodge ram 4x4 3500 quad cab dually, automatic, SLT. Said they recently put new fuel injectors in it and the guy was also telling me that they will warranty the truck through them since "it's in such great condition"

I live in Texas and just bought a 2006 4x4 quad 6 spd 120000 miles for $17000 Last Dec. Did have to put 4 rear tires on it $650. Have seen a couple for 18900 to 20K adveritsed with around same miles. Some places are advertising 24K to 26K but if you look you can find em like I did. Took me 6 months but I was set on finding one of 2 colors and I got just what I wanted.
