Ok well I am about to buy a set of nozzles for my 03 and have a question. Can someone explain to me why flux nozzles use a 5 hole design when my truck comes with a 8 hole? I have read not to use the 5 hole design in my 03, but on the other hand I have read the flux nozzles are a great nozzle. What is the purpose for changing the design? If flux nozzles aren't the best for my 03 I am probably just going with exergy.

03-04 and 04.5+ 5.9 have the same bodies but different number of holes in the nozzle. The spray angle for each is different due the different design of the piston bowls. Its important to get the correct nozzle for your year truck.

Bigger nozzles will switch to 5 hole design though I believe to increase strength. As long as the spray angle is correct you will be fine

So your saying it can have however many holes as long as the nozzle spray angle is right for your piston bowl there isnt a problem.

exergy is the top of the top........
It is def the new fad for cummins injectors, hopefully they can keep up being awesome and next go around ill try them out. That being said i know i have an 06 and you were asking specifically about 03-04s but I rather like my flux's suprisingly clean around town which is a win for me hopefully they will last a long time

I say that would help and get you on the right track..I like the ideal how they balance and test and send the papers with them...I have not dealt with them but I will be here shortly.

I have how ever spoke to people who have and said they can tell the difference with them being balanced and tested.

deal straight with exergy harvey is the man and they are top of line no one is better that being said you pay for it..... i like shane is good but i hate to add middle men when i buy a product.

they just built me a set of 300hp nozzles and they i cant say enough about Harvey and the service he gave me. my set came in today on exergy dime (free next day since i have a meet to make) they have all have balance sheets and they are all balanced withing 2% of each other. i cant wait to get them installed and feel the difference.

from the 3 different companies i have delt with on injectors exergy is by far the best but like i said you pay for the best.....

dude keep it on the down low but i only posted the truck cause the wife is tired of the 100k i put into it. unless someone ponies up the full asking price and i dont see that in this economy the truck is staying right in the driveway. and will continue to be built you never can reach enough

well i sent them the injectors and they got them on 13 but they had a machine break and could not cut them till it was fixed on tuesday so they cut them flow tested them and had them in the mail wed and paid to have them next day shipped to me since i had an event to make and their machine broke. harvey could have told me sorry we had complications and its not our fault but he did the right thing told me he was sorry and would have them back to me in time to install and get up and running by sat.

so less then a week when they had the machine up and going which is what he told me to start with

I've often pondered between the 2. I'm running flux 3's right now and have had good luck. Low smoke dd'ing but just go larger them what you actually want. I think flux 4's would be where I could push the 66 hard. I'm running dual cp3's and smarty cranked pretty descent.
I'll probably go with some motorsports nozzles and 100% overs to start with to gear up for twins.

I was running 3.5s and an arson3/60% dual pump setup with the old SB. It hated life in high programming. When I stacked the TST in it, I could spike my 60 psi gauge. To the OP, Ive liked my two sets of F1s Ive had done, but the middle man you have to go through sucks. Its an extra step that I feelshouldnt be needed.
