I'm going to service my new 05/5.9 and I'm wondering what fluids you all reccomend. I'll replace the front and rear diff fluids, transfer case and oil. How often should I replace the fuel filter, and is it difficult?

Amsoil is hard to beat but you pay for what you get. As for motor oil, i used Valvoline for the first year or so on my truck but now im using nothing but Amsoil.

Is there any issue with switching a CTD to synthetics if it hasn't been getting them and has, say, 70k on it? I know I've never switched a gasser with much mileage on it due to the tendency for synthetics to break loose all thr crud holding the engine together. Leaks are never far behind....
