I have a 2005 2500 6spd with 35 inch pro comp ex ats and a leveling kit. Dual 6 inch miter cuts. I have a FASS 150 gauges and SMARTY revo TNT loaded up. Come pull time I will have a con fe installed. I am building suspension limiters for the rear to try and stop hopping. The track is at a local county fair and would like to put a whoopin on the local ferds. The track is a horse arena. Couple questions. 1) Since it is a horse arena it should be very soft so any recommendations on tire pressure? 2) Im kinda worried about floating valves at WOT with the TNT as it will fuel to 3500 do I have to worry about this? and what setting do you recomend? I would like to make as much power as possible and put on a good show. 3) What gear do you think would be the right choice for me with my mods and the track conditions? Sorry about all the questions but I want to see the ferd owners  when I hook! Thanks in advance.:beer

Alot of it depends on how they class the trucks. Stock vs. Modified or whatever. Some classes aren't allowed blocked suspensions, ladder bars etc., and some stock classes you're not allowed to smoke. They'll DQ a truck that smokes. (just ask 07dodge)!!! It all depends on the classifications.

ok if your gonna pull put the money into a dual disk clutch, with a dual disk you can pull 4lo and 4th gear other than that id go 3rd gear 4 lo... if you do that your clutch might last till the end of the track

tire pressure i would do 30 out back and 22-25 in the front...

Don't pull with a single disk:$: your wasting your money! Like stated above, if you want to hold good power consistantly you need a dual disk!:thumbsup

YES some responses! Anyway yes its a 6 spd and for now all I got is the CON FE to work with. Im going to do this pull and one other than Im done for the year is the FE going to hold up? SO 3rd gear low range and 30-35 outback and 20-25 up front. Also should I be worried about the RPMs with the revo tnt? What settings you think I should run it on? Thanks fellas and ladies is any of ya all are ladies.

I have a dual disc and I love it from southbend. I did my first pull the last month. Didn't have any problems. I pull in 4hi 2nd gear. I almost got it to take off in 3rd but just not enough fuel there. I could get it to move but was never able to let the clutch the whole way out. I am thinking about doing some self test and seeing if I can get the trucks top speed in a set gear to be higher in 2nd hi or 4low then doing my next pull on the best one. If you didn't buy the Fe yet I woulldn't that way it is wasted money just in case it doesn't work out for ya.

ive been thinking since my truck is down, the differences between 4lo 4th gear and 2nd or 3rd 4hi... i just dont wanna break it in 4hi. I've been told that the driveline isnt strong enough to do it in hi but i guess we'll see here soon enough

I was actually given the FE by a friend that just purchased a DD. He is making gobs of power and was slipping the FE. If I was buying a clutch it would be a DD for sure.

Wow

You guys pull in 4 hi? I have never heard of anyone pulling in 4 hi. This is new and interesting to me. Does anyone else pull in 4 hi that you all know of? I hate to try it and not do anything. Everybody i know runs 4 low and on dodges keeps od on, a duramax i know takes od off and puts tow haul on, i guess thats what they have. I have heard people say to put it in second but you cant get any ground speed that way.

4hi 2nd gear puts you right between 4lo/4th gear and 4lo/5th gear. Its all about ratios.

It really depends on how you drive, just because its a dual disc doenst make it indistructable, i've seen guys burn up a DD on 1 pull,(Several different Brands) but i think it boils down to having enough power to run the desired gear and that you dont have to ride the clutch to long. the longer you slip it the hotter it will get when it get's to about 1200 degrees the buttons will desinegrate. get some advice from others on what gear based on your truck . then i've seen a DD go 30 plus pulls:beer
