After rolling 100k miles I decided my valve lash needed to be checked. I got the barring tool from Snap On and angled feeler gauges. Finding TDC was the only information that was lacking in my research. Here's an easy way to find it.
Mark the line.

Get a string and a weight, I uses a bolt. Tape it to the line you marked.

Rotate the crank, easy with the barrig tool and center the string on the center stud of the damper.

It worked like a charm and took the guess work out of eyeballing TDC.
