I went to a Big Farm Macinery type auction with my buddy yesterday. I figured i may pick up some tools or something but was really surprised to see an 87 Dodge 8 Foot Bed sitting there. I got to checking it out and saw that it was super straight and solid. I had to wait approx 5 hours for them to get to it (Big Auction) My buddy was ready to kill me, he said since we had to wait so long he didnt care if I had to pay $1000 for the bed, I WAS taking it home... But I finally bought it, not as cheap as Id hoped, but its nice.. And my buddy and I loaded it by ourselves and got it home 100 mi. without damage, on a little Lowe's 4x8 Trailer, we looked like the beverly hillbillys! But we made it home. So now hopefully I will get this thing done and painted before MAY!

Good Deal, what did you end up paying for it? I needed a good 8 ft bed for my 91.5 and shopped around and ended up locating one about 25 miles from my house in a junkyard. The color does not match and it has a small ding with some scratches that needed to be fixed. I am in the process of sanding my paint so it did not matter what color it was since i was going to add a new color to it. I picked up the bed for $115 with them uninstalling it and loading it up on my trailer. I think that i did pretty good and the bed come off of like a 87 Ram 150.

same thing here. My dad is restoring his 1991 d250 and by the way it should be done in the coming weeks. Its in the paint shop now. But anyway we went to look at some salvage yards looking for a bed for his and I pulled up on my phone where we were going on gps to see how far it was away and it showed me an all Chrysler salvage yard. I told him the name of it which we have never heard of till then and it was closer so we stopped by there first. Come to find out they had anything and everything you could think of, and he got everything he was looking for there. Plus the bed we found on a 93 was is perfect condition besides a hail size dent on the drivers side. It had a bedliner in it and the bed didnt have not one single scratch in it when we pulled it out. It was a stroke of luck that we found this place. We'll be going back if we need anything else cause they got it. They took it off and loaded it on the trailor also. Cost him 275.

i'm already searching. i don't think there is anything i can't rob off a truck out here. there are usually a few gassers to rob body parts off of at the local junk yard. but if there's any diesel parts i need that they have. i may go on a road trip. or have it shipped.

they'll probably get it to, by somebody who doesn't know any better. like my cousin before we started getting into the diesel stuff. he had his hx35 go out, took it to a diesel repair shop to have it rebuilt. they had to put a new compressor and exhaust turbon on it, and rebuild it. they charged him $800. i bought my hx35 like new for $210.

MAN! You Guys down south got it made, Id buy a whole semi trailer full of beds at that price! Up here you are lucky to find a rust free one let alone one that cheap! I gave $550 for the one I just bought it is from the south somewhere and its rust free, which is rare up here. As I said not quite as cheap as I wouldve hoped but its solid and straight. If somebody wants to line me up about 5 beds at under $200 I will be down with Cash!:party018: LOL

P.S. Im still looking for 91-93 Bodyside Moldings (Regular Cab) if you know of any your way. Thanks
