I have bought a dual filter set up to relocate the oil filters to the frame. I see some members saying the noise was very loud and changed back to a single filter setup. Can anyone supply additional details on the issue before I install it? Thanks in advance.

Yes , there's a loud humming hydraulic sound of oil being forced into the smaller oil lines. If you look at the PacBrake filter relocation kit the hoses are much larger in diameter and relatively short.

I ended up installing a oil bypass system using the EaBP 100 Amsoil filter on the frame rail. You'll notice on top of the oil filter base on your truck two NPT plugs.... this is where Cummins meant to install a fuel press gauge or bypass filter. I have continued to use the stock oil filter because I haven't found a fitting with large in/out to replace the filter simular to the Pac-brake unit.

This is really good info. I've considered doing the same thing. someone did a relocate to the from of the truck near the bottom of the radiator area. He had a plate for protecting against debris hitting a filter. It really shortened up the install line length.

I like the PacBrake unit but the filter is located to close to the front tire.

do you know what size hoses would be recommended for minimum pressure drop?
I wouldn't worry about figuring out a pressure drop but what size is required to eliminate the hydraulic growling sounds. I used 5/16 " I.D. , 450 psi hydraulic hose and the noise was unbearable. The Fittings into and out of the the filter would have to be in the area of .75 " I.D. Just guessing.

There is only one fitting on top of the 2014 cummins filter unit and you cant use it because of the egr coolant hose that is above it. I will post pictures a little later of the unit I have but haven't installed yet.

There's two on mine. One under the EGR pipe you speak of , and one next to it toward the battery side of the filter base. Both are the same size. Either can used but the one under the EGR pipe you'll need a brass 90deg fitting available from Napa. It worked for me.

What year is your truck ?

2014. I pulled the egr hose off and only saw one. I installed a fitting on it, but couldn't get those hose back on.
There is an aluminum fitting wher you screw in the oil filter.....on top are two nuts probably 1/4" . That will be them.
