Any information as to whether or not film coatings on bearings and pistons are beneficial?

What kind and where can this service be done?

Also where can aftermarket bearings, pistons, et cetera be purchased?

teflon coatings are highly beneficial on piston skirts and I'm sure would work well on those other components too.

There's a number of places to purchase aftermarket parts but, it depends on how much cash you want to spend. Cummins pistons are some of the best out there for durability and the others like Arias are top notch but, not meant for daily drivers. They're too soft and wouldn't stand up to the heat in a DD.

Get yourself some "steel" Cummins pistons, 24v rods ( shot peened ) and you'd be good to go.
