I'm in need of some new tires and want to step down on width from my 325/60r18. I was considering the Duratracs' at 295/65r18. Will this be a problem on a 10" rim? I have the Moto metal 958's. Any input is very appreciated.

thanks,

Thank you for the post jbz.

The approved rim width range for tire size 295/65-18 is 8" to 10" so you'll have no issues running this size on your 18x10 MO958 wheels. As you probably have calculated already, the 295/65-18 tire size has about the same diameter as your current size and is about 1.25" narrower in total section width.

Most appreciated! What about a 285/65R18 Nitto Trail? The nitto website says that that size equates to 32.83x 11.93 but other calculators say it's 32.6x11.2. Thanks again.

The 285/65-18 Trail Grappler is also approved for an 8" to 10" wide wheel.

When looking at tire specs it's always best to reference the manufacturers spec sheet as this will provide the most accurate dimensions for the particular model you are looking at. Tire brands are just like shoe brands, some run larger while others run smaller even in the same size. Tire calculators strictly operate using math.
