I have a FASS pump and it's at 23psi @ IP
Can I reduce the pressure @ the FASS pump?
I'd like to be around 18psi @ idle
Does it reduce performance to be running such high lp pressure?

23 should be a good pressure as long as its not in the high 20's or low 30's then you should be ok.

20 is too high. it should be right at 16 at idle and around 14 at WOT. thats what mine was at. no less than 10 and no more than 20 :thumbsup:

Is the pressure sender mounted close to the vp44 or farther back. Closer to the vp44 would be more accurate.

yes call fass, and if you can even get ahold of anyone ask for a shorter spring.

i have called about 5 times this week about a higher pressuer spring for mine, with no luck. if you can get anyone to return your call or pick up, tell them to call me

im not sure, id have to tear into mine to tell ya.

The spring is inside the return line fitting, there will also be a little rubber ball in there that the spring pushes against. You could experiment and just cut some of the spring off with a pair of side cutters. I would do a little at a time being it's easy to get to.

Dose any one have pictures were the spring is located?

Just remove your return line from the pump (the one that tees back into your filler tube) and unscrew the fitting from the pump and it'll be just inside there.
