Had my truck in the shop today, had the P0230 code. The mechanic said the pump is 15# at idle and 11# 3/4 throttle. I just bought the truck a week ago and I called the dealer. He said they would replace the LP with a stock one or FASS DDRP. I have 2 questions...
1- I have no intentions of upgrading performance other than possibly a Quadzilla max mileage. Will this be a good enough pump for me?

2- Would you recommend the relocate kit or leave it in stock location?

i would go with a fass or airdog setup even though youre not going to mod it, since the stock lift pumps are trash to begin with

get a raptor 150 its an easy upgrade and is better than the ddrp

if the max mileage is the only mod your doing the ddrp would be a good choice of pump. i would not go with the intank setup. its almost as bad as the original pump.

I put an amzoil air filter on it and 4" MBRP exhaust on it and now after this my wife says NO MORE upgrades so now it sounds like the max mileage is out.
Would you get the remote kit?

I would definately get the remote kit for it. THIS GUY has a ddrp in stock location and sees an ELEVEN PSI drop! Also a fuel pressure gauge is a MUST.

If you relocate the pump it will last a lot longer, eliminate some of the stock restrictions in the fuel system, and just all around kick for a stock truck. A fuel pressure gauge is the only way to tell if your new pump even works. Theyre cheap on ebay. Get a glowshift gauge and a steering column pod if you want to be cheap. I suggest vulcan performace for the stuff. Theyre very helpful and can help you get what you NEED, not what they wanna sell you. If ya got the coin Id also suggest the big line kit between the filter and the injection pump. Speaking of injection pump, if youre getting fuel related codes on a new to you truck, keep an eye on that injection pump. They all seem to fail for their new owners. :thumbsup:
