So I replaced my OEM fan clutch with an aftermarket part last week and it worked well for a while.

Today I'm driving on the highway and noticed it howling at 70 MPH. At 75 and 80 the thing is screaming.

So I unplugged the connector to the clutch and it was OK for about 10 min until I reached higher revs from a downshift on the highway. Now its engaged again.

Is it the fan clutch again?

Truck is a 2005 3500 A/T

I ordered thru a parts wearhouse, everything fit and plugged in fine. It worked for a week. I am getting a mopar unit and will updatewith results.

I've seen on other threads that cummins redid and approved the newer mopar units. Does anyone know the part number or how I can confirm that the clutch I'm getting has the revision?
