Anybody run these and have any experiences to share? I saw some on a truck about a week ago and thought they looked ok. I've been running Nitto Terra Grapplers for the last several sets with great luck. Will be needing tires soon and wondering if I should stick with what I know or try something new. Y'all tell me about it.

I bought a set of these just last Friday. The first day of driving on them they felt like they didn't want to track and were all over the place. They now ride really nice and they are not noisy. We will see how they wear in the future but for now I am really impressed. Just a quick note, make sure the installer uses the right tire pressure for the back and front.

I was replying in my head when I read that you said it was all over the place because every set I've had installed at Discount Tire were inflated to the max and it was like driving on a rainy day such as today.

I have a set of the 265/70/17 and have had great luck with these tires. I have about 55k on these tires and I'm thinking I can got atleast 15k left in these tires. Not bad for a $164 dollar tire.

I'd like to try the 295s next time.

Yeah becarful. Every tire store I ever got tires from for a truck always over inflate them. I always run a lower pressure in the rear for normal every day driving. The back of the truck weighs alot less and needs less air. By doing that you can keep a good ware pattern across the tires. I like to rub some chalk across the tread of new tires and drive strait about 20 feet to see if I get contact all the way across the tread evenly. Adjust the tire pressure till you get it. With the tires I have now its 35 front and 30 rear. My wifes truck with the big tires she has I run 23 front and 16 rear. It varies depending on the tire because of height, with of tire and rim, load rating and manufacture. Do this and you will get the most out of your tires.

Have driven a set 295/70X17 and loved them. Like others have said you need to air them up to minimize sidewall flex. I ran them 65psi in the front and 55 psi in the rear and rotated about every 5-7000 miles. I got a good 40,000 miles on that set. Just yesterday, I changed out to a new set 305/65/17 which is a little smaller but wider a 12" . They look small, however, the tread pattern is wider, and the profile is a little shorter. Because of this, the sidewall doesn't flex and I'm running these @ 60 psi front and 50 psi and the ride has improved greatly. For the money, you can't beat the performance. Quiet, good ride, good wear etc. Only problem, not very good in slush at freeway speeds in winter.

If you go to my truck pics you will see the 295/70/17 on my truck. I will try to take some pics today with the new size 305/65/17 and post. That way you can kind of compare the look. The other difference will be that I blacked out the wheels with the new tires.:party018:

Here 15 before 295/70/17 ( the first pic with chrome rim)

Here is now 305/65/17 ( the pic with black rim)

If you go to my truck pics, you maybe able to compare better, 295/70/17 chrome wheels pics, 305/65/17 with black wheels.

I'm running 305/55/20 and like them. Had nittos in the same size before and the falkens are a firmer ride.

What tire pressures are you running in the front tires and the back tires?

I am now running 65 in the back tires and 60 in the fronts. Discount tire had put them what is specified in the door jam at 70 in rear and 60 in front. They pretty nice now.
