my truck has 50000 miles on it and the lift pump went out this weekend! i put a fass lift pump today! just wondering if my smarty caused this or if this is normal?

Lift pump failure is very very very common on the 03-04.5 Common Rails even under stock fuel. Mine gave up the ghost after 125k. Great call going with the fass! I love my FASS HPFP!:thumbsup

Well what Catcher were you runnin on? Anything above 3 could put a lot of wear on a stock lift pump.

Fass Pump, huh? Where did you put the draw straw/pickup tube? Or are you using stock lines?

i dont know what they did i dropped my truck off and went to work. i usually run my smarty on #5.....so i guess that might of worn it out.

I must be one of the lucky ones. I've got 90,000 on the stock LP with the Juice on #4 most of the time.
