I have a 02 I'm putting a radio and cant get sound out of the speakers.. Is there a factory amp, if so where is it located?

If you used to have the infinity system, each of the speakers has a separate amp located on the speaker itself.

I cant remember if the infinity used a remote on wire or not to triger the amps on and off.Did you cut off the factory ends? I hope not.I think the metra harness was a 70-1858 and other 1 I sold was a cr01b.they plug into your factory harnes to install a aftermarcket headunit.Some infinity amps you could only hook up the positive wire to each speaker (and not the ground)

If you did buy a harnes to tie in,just hook up every wire color for color,except the grey back ,white black,green black and the violet black. leave them off to try it out. blue remote on wire from your aftermarket deck must be hooked up to the blue on the Metra harnes(this turns the amps on)
