I just bought this truck a couple weeks ago.
What size is the stock exhaust? I got under the truck today looking at the exhaust, and it looks like it's 4 inch from the turbo back to about the tranny cross member, then they welded 3 inch from there back to a bigger muffler, then looks like 3 1/2 from there back.
I know this is not stock but is the 4 inch part stock or has it been added on? If it has, why would he weld 3 inch in place? IDIOT!
i would like to get a 5" kit, i am currently looking for the best price. but i wonder if i can just weld a 4" pipe from the cross member back and back and get a pree bent pipe for over the axle and out for cheaper.
Also where is the waste gate located, I was looking at the truck before work today and noticed the waste gate hose from the turbo is plugged. I only had a few minutes to look before I had to go to work, but I couldn't find it.
thanks for any advice

the wastegate is mounted to the turbo..... the hose should b going to it. as for stock exhaust, pretty sure 4" dp is not factory. i did exhaust on my truck long time ago and from what i can remember was small all the way back stock lol.

I didn't think the down pipe was stock, but I don't understand why he would weld a 3" pipe in after, he must be stupid. That's where I thought the waste gate sat, but it is gone and it looks like the hole has been welded shut. Thanks for the info.

people really do stupid $hit. now that you've seen that, you should go over the rest of the truck with a fine tooth comb.
