New exhaust pipe arrived in the mail. I ordered the walker 35229 hanger insulators and I checked all the diameters and they matched but the hole is too bad I think. It slides over the nub on the hanger bracket easily. It should be hard to take on and off right?. I was told GM hangers work better. My old dodge ones are stuck on. Do I need a different hanger insulator? Im thinking the bracket has rusted a bit allowing the insulator to slide on easier. I think I’ll take a piece of hose and a hose clamp and tighten them onto the end of where the insulator slides on. Maybe the insulator will eventually swell up a bit. I don’t see any hangers with smaller holes. .47” seems to be the smallest.
