ESN Off Of a VP44 Truck

Would like to have the Engine Serial Number off of someones Late Model VP Truck, to look up some parts.

How late of a model? 01?,02?, or 98.5-00?

i need some input- whichever years connecting rods would be the best to have treated, stress, relieved and coated.
