Hey ya'll, I know that this question has probably already been answered but I cant find any threads that seem to talk about the specific problem I’m having... So here’s what I’ve got. My dad has a 99' Cummins, and his starts as soon as you turn the key...My 03' on the other hand does not. It never fails to start but has a little more hesitation than I think it should. On top of that I have a Erratic idle. Recalibrated the APPS and it sets the RPM at about 750 at first but after a few seconds it plains out at about 800. No big deal but, once you drive it, come to a stop with the clutch in the RPM’s rise to around 1250-1300 and sometimes comes back down-sometimes not... while its at the high RPM idle it sounds like it has an intermittent skip... its like skip skip smooth skip skip...etc.. after the Apps Recalibration it was better for the first couple times but now its back... Checked the CPS wires around the AC comp, like that tech thread said to but they had that plastic flex wire conduit stuff around everywhere that would contact anything, so I don’t think its the CPS Wires. Truck runs good down the road. Sometimes the power is better then others... Its like the timing gets a little off. I don’t know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
