2006 5.9 will crank over but won't start. also can't retrieve engine fault codes with OBD II reader or Banks IQ (communcation error). truck was running then driver shut off and tried to start again 10 minutes later with lots of extra dash lights.
if your reader wont get the codes, check your cig lighter fuse. usually the obd ports power is ran off that fuse. also you can do the key trick to retrieve the codes. start with your key in the off position, then turn key to on position but not start. so go key on, off, on, off, on and leave it in the on position and look at where your mileage is and codes should cycle in there

The center console seems to have no power on my truck. I see no lights on 4x4 knob (can't switch to 4x4) or on the switches for exhaust brake, tow switch and traction control switch. I have ohm'd all fuses and can't find an issue. Anybody ever encountered this?
