Mine does it as well and my blinker flash two times after I shut it off. It only does it every now and again.

The winding noise is the turbo spooling down. After all, it still spins at idle until you shut it off completely. As far as the clicks, there's to many sensors and relays on these trucks to narrow it down to one, but it's normal.

I had my wife shut off the truck while I watched the EGR servo cycle and it also sounds like the butterfly valve and turbo are also doing a sweep to knock off the soot so nothing will stick on the next start cycle.
It's done this since I was looking it over before driving off the lot with only 4 miles on it.

The wining noise you hear after shutdown is the air conditioner releasing pressure. It says so in the owners manual. At first I thought it was the turbo spooling down but it doesn't do it when the air conditioning is off. The belt is not supposed to chirp on these trucks they redesigned the pulley system so it would not chirp. I guess too many people complained about it. I think it's awesome that it chirps. So now we get to listen to clicking on shutdown.
