mine does it too. I never looked into it. I was thinking it's the fan coming to a stop. I do know that they designed the pulleys so the belt wouldn't slip when you shut it off. I didn't think there was anything wrong with that. But now we get to listen to three clicking sounds instead. I liked the chirping sound better. I think its kind of a cummins thing. I don't think any other diesel does that.

The wining noise you hear after shutdown is the air conditioner releasing pressure. It says so in the owners manual. At first I thought it was the turbo spooling down but it doesn't do it when the air conditioning is off. The belt is not supposed to chirp on these trucks they redesigned the pulley system so it would not chirp. I guess too many people complained about it. I think it's awesome that it chirps. So now we get to listen to clicking on shutdown.
