i've heard that the cord for the block heater is wrapped up and hidden somewhere, and i've heard that the element is there but the cord isn't. can anybody tell me?

There is not cord if not spec'd. Yet the heater is there. So you need to purchase the cord only.

If you don't have a cord tucked up behind the bumper.

Go pop the hood and take a look.
Get a flashlight and look in the area just behind your oil filter and a littel to the rear. (on the block)
You will see a black plastic cap, it's a little bigger than a bottle cap.

Unscrew it, this is where the cord will plug in.
You can find a cord on line for around $30

mine was tucked down beside the rad on the passenger side.

I was quoted $56, I told him I was buying it from an online sponsor Geno's for $20. His response was go ahead it will quit working in a year. Same exact product.

Go to Geno's garage and buy one if you don't have one, easy to install too.

thanks, i'm have bought stuff from geno's before. i just wanted to check before i bought a cord.
