I would start with checking all your batter connections, grounds and positives. ETC are very sensitive to voltage fluctuations and somehow trigger this issues. The other thing you need to check is the Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor, I had that experience with the a dead pedal before and found that this was the issue, there's a stainless steel tube connected to the manifold to the thermostat housing, if you remove the sensor you should see a little bit of a light going through it, once that clear plug the sensor back and do a test drive. good luck!
