New to cummins forum. Just got my first diesel 2008 dodge ram 2500. My ERS light does not come on or rpm does not change when I push +/- on shift lever, I tow alot about 7500lb. what do I need to check. and how to fix.

I have a similar issue with my 09 that i just bought, however i can get it to activate if i press the - button really hard. Give it a try it might just be a bad switch. i posted a thread on it but didn't get a single response.

Mine does something similar and if I bang the lever it will activate. It seems like it is in the switch and someday I will need to change out the entire gear selector lever. Seems pretty easy though

Thanks for the info, I banged on +/- on switch and it seems to work for today I will try it again to see if it still works. Has anyone replaced shift arm and how hard is it?
