I didn't notice it until the green light came on for the alert of a backdown setting, but the box came set to defuel at 30 lbs of boost. The truck quickly hits 30 lbs with the box on 5x5. Is it ok to disable this backdown or is 30 lbs pretty much the limit with the stock turbo and injectors? A friend of mine told me he hits about 40 lbs on his 02 and yes I know it has a different stock turbo then my 99

You could turn the back down up to 35 lbs pretty safely. Your hx is tougher and bigger then your friends hy. I think he's crazy for running it to 40 lbs. Any more then 30 on his stock hy35 is just pushing hot air

Disable it just keep an eye on your boost with gauges. Not the boost readout on the edge.

Mine was set at the same. Seemed like it backed down a bit before 30 so I bumped it to 35. I don't get it that high but it keeps it from defueling. And yea this is on a cts monitor.

The light is yellow for backdowns on the cts.. Then red for alerts.

When I had just the hx and rv275s I would keep it set to 32-34psi backdown and I would hit 36-38 still...

On my edge I have a alert and defuel setting. I dont have to have any of my defuels on but I can set it to alert me. I have my defuel set at 40psi(starts to defuel at about 36psi.

I know that reading johnny haha. Silly edge.
Op when the time comes your boosting more then 40, get a mechanical boost gauge. Edge reads off the map sensor which stock programming only goes to 40 lbs. So anything above that and the edge is basically guessing. My mechanical gauges show 63 lbs boost at wot but my edge shows I topped out at 54.

I also hit right around 63#. Figured you'd be up more like 75?? I'm sure you have way more cfm. Is the 62 gated? Do you just keep it turned down?
