EFI Live ???'s

So I am looking in to EFI Live...Especially with the CPS5 switch. My main question is about licensing. I was looking at purchasing from ATP. The Autocal comes with 2 licenses. Reading on EFI's website it says the licenses can be used for ECM/PCM and TCM. My truck is a manual so I don't need to worry about the TCM. Do I only need one license for the ECM, and nothing for the PCM?? Which would leave me with a license for another manual truck.... Right? Wasn't sure if I had to use both licenses on one truck, or if I could do 2 trucks

Two trucks.... But I hope your talking about one not listed in your sig.
updated it.... Been a while since I actually logged in...
That is kind of what I was guessing... just wanted to make sure before I bite the bullet....
Thanks for the quick response!!
Unless ATP is doing something different, autocals only come with one license. That is to say it will do one ecm and one tcm. To do two trucks you will need a second vin license as well as tunes for the second truck.
been doing too much reading and got myself confused. I meant flash scan. I want to be able to do my own tuning eventually. So it is the flash scan that I want... I thought I read that it comes with 2 licenses, and that they weren't VIN specific. Since it's a manual I don't need to worry about the TCM. I could be totally off... Like I said, I've just been doing the reading about EFI so far. But I thought I could program 2 trucks without purchasing extra licenses.
The V2 does come with two separate vin license so you can do two trucks with it out of the box.
You can. V2s come with 2 vin licenses. You could also tune 2 trucks with one autocal, just need an extra vin license. But if you want to tune yourself, V2 it is.
While I have you here... Can I purchase a tune and put that tune on two trucks? Or do I need to purchase a separate tune?
One tune for each truck.
Yep, one tune per truck. Could get the same tune for two trucks, but you're buying two tunes (the files would be the same, different VIN assignments and then if each truck needs different tweaking) if that makes sense.

Like, if I had another 06/07, I could buy the same tune that's currently in my 07 from my tuner and have the same rip-roarin' tune in both. Man...that would be awesome!:hehe:

We can make that happen....it's just a little hocus pocus

Looks like the guys got your questions answered  I don't get to spend near as much time on here as I would like to! Anyway, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
