I have an 07 5.9L with EFI Live from anarchy diesel with a CSP5 switch and having a huge problem. So today when I get out of the gym today I wait to start the rig the ABS light check engine light and parking brake light are all on. Odd, it starts up fine lights stay on and tach drops to 0 but keeps idling then the tach proceeds to bounce between 0 and 750 rpm and the trans light is coming on and off the truck is chiming like crazy and check gauges light is coming on and off. Drove home (less than a mile away) Trans was at 125 degrees so it's not hot and shifted fine. Could it be the CSP5 got unplugged? When I try to clear present dtc codes it says there aren't any do I just hit clear all codes. A buddy with an SCT tuner with a ford which I think is similar to EFI told me to turn the knob down to level 1 (stock) and unplug the battery terminals for about an hour to reset computer. Will I lose the tunes if I do that? 3borce have you heard of this problem and what actions should I take? The manual mentions nothing about a truck freaking out. Also when I stopped at a stop sign the truck shut off in drive if that is relevant. Truck doesn't need to be driven tomorrow so I have all day to fiddle with it. Please help me yall thanks

you won't loose your tunes by disconnecting the battery. you can also try reflashing the truck with the csp5 file

Good to know does it sound like an EFI issue? Im not sure how to "reload" the software what do I need to navigate to if I want to remove then reflash?

How long have you had the tuning installed on the truck? Once a tune is loaded it cannot change, so if the truck has been running the tunes for more than 24 hours the tuner will not be the cause. All of the lights illuminating on the dash is a sign of an issue with multiple modules (tipm and abs usually) and be linked to bad ground or an issue within the abs/tipm them selves. Pulling the battery cables will not hurt, check all of your grounds for loose connections. Finally, you can reflash the ecm, but it probably won't help as your issues sound TIPM/ABS related.

Ok I just unplugged them side note my grounds on my batteries are loose enough to where I can get them off without a socket. When I red install I will tighten with a socket.

Tunes just do not automatically go bad, sounds to me like you have a voltage problem.

I wasn't trying to say your tuners are no good. I was asking if unplugging the CSP5 while running can trip the truck out or something along those lines.

In theory, no. The switch only sends a signal across the can bus when the knob is turned to signal the ecm to switch tunes. Any other time it is pretty much dormant so unplugging it with the key on should not be an issue. More than likely you found your culprit. These trucks are very sensitive to ground issues.

just wait till you have real 3rd gen electrical issues and your trucks down for weeks at a time...gonna happen one day always does with something thats modified
Looking at your mod list I would think you would know where every wire is and what it goes to as well as what kind of shape its in LOL. It also happens to stock trucks.

Batteries are in excellent shape and are only a year old. I had a problem when I grounded my gauges to that driver side fender ground coming off the battery. It wasn't happy, rough start after installing gauges with a nice check engine light I thought I messed the turbo up from tapping manifold lol. About to snug everything up and give her a crank

Ok got it diagnosed by a good mechanic. He says that it's more likely than not and ignition problem. When the lights come one and off its as if the computer is resetting for a split second. He called it the "driver side cabin node" that's what it came up as on the scanner he has. Anyone have any idea what or where that is?
