Sure you got a good power connection? Good Ground? Other then that I am not sure. Your OBDII connection may not be good. I know you said you checked it but I am stumped other then those things.

i hooked power up the way the instructions said, OBDII port should be fine, my SC works off of it. i tried a different power source and same deal. i did notice on startup the attitude reads FORD ver 1.89 and i don't think the attitude is reading the juice, it won't pick up a serial # on the info screen

If it says FORD on it there must have been a mix up at the factory. I wood contact the place where you purchased the chip and ask to exchange it. Or give edge a call and see what they want to do whether you do the exchange with them direct.

hey sounds to me like either the attitude or the juice is the wrong one. Each Edge has there own i guess you could call it firmware, that is the revision that displays when you start the truck. Every make and model truck needs there own that was designed by edge for that specific truck. They sent you a Ford box. Check the model number of the juice and compare it with edges website and see what they actully sent you

Like K2 said, the programming on the edge is wrong. If it says ford then that is incorrect. EDGE should take care of you or get the guy you bought it from to swap it out.

The superchips wouldn't cause that. A know a guy who bought a juice with attitude and when he got it, it had the wrong programming on the attitude. If yours is saying ford your attitude has the wrong program in it. His was the right attitude part number and everything just the wrong programming. Edge just sent him a new one. The superchips could not trick your Edge into thinking it was a ford. The only way it can say Ford is if it has the wrong programming.

It shouldnt matter you have a SC tune downloaded. I have had my pup on with the edge since I installed the juice w/ attitude with zero problems. You can try pulling the SC tune out and try but I am sure you have an incorrect programmed edge.

One other idea....

I was having a lot of electronic problems with mine last week...after I installed. Kept locking up not clearing or reading codes and always thought the truck was running even when off and the key was removed.

It was intstall error. IN the Edge instructions it talks about Fuse 30 being 15 amp and third from the top.

My truck actually had a 10AMP fuse in Fuse 30 spot and a 15 amp in the 4th from the top slot. I inadvertenly put the power supply on the 15 amp fuse in the 4th spot not 3rd.

When I switched back around no problems since.

Perhaps in the 08''s one of the monkeys on the line has been getting these two fuses backwards from when Edge first did their instuctions?
