I have an Edge comp box on my 01 with an automatic trans. I'm seeing up to 40 psi at full throttle with it on 5x5. Is this a normal boost pressure with stock turbo? Only other mods are intake and 4" exhaust. Thanks!

I would start looking into some head studs....but I'm not gonna lie...I don't know....I would also buy some injectors too....with that much boost and stock injectors you are missing out on a lot or power...plus if the turbo is stock HY35 them its over spun anyways...I wouldn't run more than 32 psi tob that turbo and that's pushing it

I just put a comp on my truck and with the supplied boost elbow I hit 34 psi at about 2300 rpm and then my wastegate opens but I guess you have an hy 35. Maybe someone with an hy can help you on how to get ur wastegate to open at like 30-35 psi.

I seen about 36 PSI with no modifications to the wastegate. Are you seeing a 40 PSI spike or is it holding 40 PSI on a hard run?

Its an HY for sure. It will hold 40 on a hard run which kinda surprises me. I could see if it would spike and then drop a couple pounds but it does hold at 40. I have not tried to adjust the wastegate yet. I'll try to back it off a little and see if I can get it down. Injectors and turbo are next but until then 40 seems a little high.

You really should get an upgrade to your lift pump ASAP or be prepared to buy a new injection pump. I made this mistake on mine. It took less than a week to kill my injection pump. Had to buy a new VP-44 plus the Airdog to get back on the road and stay there.
