Unloaded or not, I'd say that's very close to being real, after reading the stockish 6.4 kill thread!! You cannot exactly judge hp from boost numbers.... Heat cycles(exhaust) are different on a dynometer...... Track times and exact weight of truck will be a definite hp number... But I can only imagine there are no tracks open!!! little chilly out ;)

You need some harsher tuning.

Still yet, nice numbers.

589 is a stretch for a programmer on a 6.4L....

Take a look at powerstrokenation and see for yourself with those that have literally pushed the envolope on the 64 platform.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not bashing you at all...

The only actual performance mods you have to push higher hp levels are a somewhat larger turbo and "90ish" hp injectors...... The rest are merely supporters to achieve the larger tip hp rating.

I dynojet 248 would be your most accurate bet I would imagine!!!! Just ask Greg Dupron(sp?)

there are alot off 6.4s making 580hp plus on tune only take a look in diesel power and on some of the forums
with a little nitrous they can make 700hp
the tune he made this on is a new tune from innovative diesel that was just realeased so give it some time

the dyno we were using was a dynojet 248

yes i was disapointed in no torque numbers to we were trying a new box from dynojet today that picks up the tach signal off the battery but we couldnt get it to read right
Lol diesel power is full of mis-prints, false claims and typo's.... At any rate, what model dynojet are you running on? 248c? I'm alittke rusty but I thought that was a 5400lb drum??

At 589hp on a 64 it's almost a guarantee that if he is not studded then he's pushing coolant via head gaskets.

You being from Maryland, you should know Greg DuPron........

My point is 590-600 sounds close for the small amount of actual hp pushing mods you have. If you had 150% nozzles and twins I would say yeah your 20% loss would be more correct.....

How much did you beat the heavier ford by, half or full truck length?

On another note, how is the tach signal being read off of ghe battery????? I can see it being read from the alternator, but am confused what signal it's getting from a DC battery.

Did power on the low end suffer with the silver 66?

Whoa.... Sorry guys for being a little to technical and realistic, I can make myself mad so I'm not shocked here!!

So if I can maintain rail pressure, a slap on silver66 and 90hp injectors will get me 640-675 fuel only?

Guess I need to move on!!

Ps... Again nice numbers Craig.

the truck has 72000 miles on it stock heads not pushing any coolant out
we raced to 105 i beat him by 2.5 trucks
the 6.4 ran a 12.8 on 37s and was on 33s when we raced to day
