Anyone running a dual remote filter system on their Cummins? What system are you using? I have one on my 440 gasser and I like it because ease of filter changes and ability to plumb my oil temp and pressure guages.
Two standard oil filters will only filter as well as one. The filtration hole is the same size.
That is why the bypass has come on board the last few years and along with it super long
oil change intervals if you desire.
It comes dwn to microns.
I was referring to Michael's setup, which is the one linked. I have installed 4 different types of systems on boats over the years. For our trucks, using the extra port on the oil filter base & a restrictor orfice, you can use an aftermarket filter base with a 3 micron fuel filter of excellent quality, as the pressures are high.
Toilet paper in a can. The oil flows in through the core, down through the paper. Thankfully I've got a few adapter sleeves to make up for some of the different sizes of toilet paper.
