Right now I have the BD lift pump kit that features the Carter 4601hp pump. At idle I get only 10-11psi on my gauge. At WOT it will drop down to about 5-6. Will I have any problems if I add another 4601hp pump. Ill have one close to the engine, and the other close to the tank. I just want to make sure I don't burn up my injection pump cause at WOT I do get surging.

When you say is parallel you mean just get a T or Y connector on each side of the pumps? And series one pump feeding the other pump? I previously had the bd pump feeding to the stock lift pump but of course that stock crap went out.

So I installed the pumps in parallel and I'm still getting the same results on fuel psi... What should I be getting. The pumps I'm using are rated at 18psi and I have yet to see that with 1 let alone 2.

What would be the problems with hooking these up in series so one pump feeds the other?
