I just recently had a south bend street dual disc installed in my 03 6spd.i got a growl/squeal sometimes when I let my clutch out.talked to southbend and they say these clutches will make some different noises but I cant imagine this being one of them..also sometimes it'll kind of squeal when I try to shift gears. they tell me that will get better and the noises will get better.just wondering if anybody has experienced any similar issues.thanks for listening.

I had/have the same noise.

Old 3250 would grunt, moan or squeal when pulling away in 2nd from a light. Not so much in 1st but a good spirited get up and go would produce the noise.

I replaced the clutch (for other reasons) and the noise is still there with the new clutch.

I've chose to ignore the noise..... and start off in 1st. It sounds like an expensive noise. :banghead:

Mine does not make any noise shifting. It does change sound when I have the clutch pedal on the floor vs released in neutral. I never have a squeal or odd noise shifting gears and it has never changed from the install 3k miles ago to now. It is pretty much the same noise as my stock clutch that I replaced other that a slight growl when the pedal is on the floor which I consider normal because there are 2 disc in there.

Its normal just turn the radio up. My valair makes a few different noises, depending on if the clutch is engaged or disengaged. Welcome to the dual disk world lol.

Thanks..the most embarrassing part is when I'm in public and it starts it's growling. I just needed to know if anyone else experienced it.hate to have them send me another one just to make the same noise . granted I only got about 100 miles or so on it.so guess I will see what happens. Thanks again for the info..
