The issue; I’ve been having an intermittent drop in boost to 0, it lasts only for a few seconds then boost returns. Is this just the grid heater cycling? the drop doesn’t make sense to me

Some background; Truck is deleted with over 240k km. This only happens when cold like -10C when leaving work this afternoon. I plugged the truck in last night on a timer so it was only on for 3hrs. There was no issue this morning when leaving for work. The only time is when not plugged in and in very cold temps until the truck warms up a bit. It doesn’t need to be at full operating temp for boost to return to normal

Are you certain you are actually loosing boost or could it just be something with the sensor and/or wiring giving a bad reading? If its an actual drop in boost, i would inspect and tighten all intake boot connections, rubber gets hard and those temperatures and could be leaking.

I am guessing you have a boost gauge that is messing up. I think if your boost was zeroing out while putting the power to it you would know it. I think it would fall on it's face as far as power.

I have the boost displayed on my mini max, usually 5-7psi while accelerating slowly with a cold engine then drops to 0 for a few seconds. A definate loss in power!

I'm original owner deleted at about 20k

I don't remember any cold defuel setting with mini max, but I think there was a high coolant temp defuel? I have actually never updated mini max, usualy running on mild setting with trans tune.
