driveshaft issues

I drive a 2012 4x4 crew cab and i just got a 8" TGC long arm kit installed on it, im also running 37s with 22x14.

The truck has no vibrations at all when driving but i did stick my head underneath to take a look at the drive shafts due to the fact that the angles were drastically changed. I looked at the rear drive shaft and first thing i saw was this

This is by the transfer case, i believe its called the slip yoke? excuse my lack of knowledge. I never really looked at it when the truck was stock but i do not think it should be sticking out that far, the wear marks kinda show that it should be in farther then it is. Anyhow my main concern is whether this is safe or not? Last thing i want is to cause damage to the truck. :confused013:

Also the tech that installed the kit said the front shaft was completely extended and said that i shouldn't use 4x4 until i got it extended or bought and installed a drive line spacer (haven't tried it in 4x4). I need and want to be able to use the truck to its full capacity (obviously), so could you guys please help me or point me in the correct direction.

Thank you!
All help is greatly appreciated.

here's a picture of the truck

Looks like you could use longer shafts front and rear. Its common when you lift a vehicle

understood, but i have been doing research and needing to make the front drive shaft long seems to be common but the rear not really. I haven't seen one person needing the make the rear longer.
Depends on the lift. The higher the lift the longer the shaft needs to be

well yeah but there are plenty of others running an 8" with no issues... My truck makes no noises either. How long is that slip yoke? Take a look at yours does it look the same? Maybe ill just take it to a drivetrain specialty shop and have them tell me what they think.
I don't know about this particular truck, but when doing a lift, usually you rotate the axle so it is more in line with driveshaft angle. This will alleviate a little of the length issue.
I would not worry about the rear drive shaft that looks about normal. Yes its moved a little bit back but that's do to the added distance. I lifted a few dodges in my life and my 08 was 12" lift in the back and there was still plenty of slip yoke left. I never measured but its like 8" to 10" long :hehe:( that's what she said). That 2" is nothing to worry about. Now the front that's a different story on my 08 I ran 8" rize and 2" spacer on that in the front and used the stock front shaft worked fine. How ever on my 12 I have 6" carli and they said to add 2" to the front drive shaft so I did. :confused013:
I only have 5" of lift and just had my front shaft lengthened. It made a big difference. The boot was totally stretched out before. I think they made it 5/8" longer. no vibration or noise now.
Here is a pic of of where the recommended length should fall. Not the perfect view but you can get a good idea.

thanks for the input guys! spoke to a local guy who's got the same setup with 2" spacers in the front (2" higher), he clocked his T-case and is getting his front shaft lengthened. I'll take a trip to the powertrain shop and see how much it will be to have my front driveshaft extended this monday.

Also anyone know why i don't have access to the classifieds? Is it because i don't have the upgraded membership??
