Drive Pressure?

I would like to understand drive pressure a little better. From what i understand it is the boost pressure created in the exhaust manifold. Other than than im lost.

Yes, its the psi in the exhaust manifold driving the turbo, I believe a 1-1 with you boost is ideal.

It is the pressure that the exhaust gas is forcing back on the engine. Too much of it and very bad things can happen.

So a person can set up a gauge off the exh. manifold to get the reading?? Same as boost gauge?? I've seen someone use some type of filter to keep soot from messing up the gauge, I think....

I would run copper tubing for the first 7-10ft of boost tubing and then plastic tubing. I have seen a few things about a filter but I am not sure on that one....

i heard of guys using a little peice of a brillo pad works well. just what i heard:

Got Torque
just drill and tap the manifold like you would for your EGt probe. Coil copper tubing around something like a WD-40 can for about 8-10 coils (that helps disapate the heat)and then run it along the firewall to an adapter stuffed with steel wool copper to plactic adapter)then run plastic boost gauge from ther to your gauge.
