I was wondering of the kits that are out there are there any that are not throwing codes? I pulled the DPF out and straight piped it its throwing codes and it tried to regen twice in two months, at idle the turbo spool is extremely loud and it idles higher but it does not have any problems. i'm just wondering if its worth forking out the dough for a kit. I bought a ten foot chunk of exhaust pipe for fifty bucks.

with out a box you have been running for 5k? that seems to be lucky on your part. Do you have anything fooling the sensors? I myself would recommend a box. You can get the box only from BADP that will leave the rest of your exhaust there and save you a little $.

well i have the BADP Code Free Beta kit. Its been working great. I have had a few codes but they seem to go way over time. Travis at Badp has been adding some tweaks to the kit and making it better. but i have been offshore now for a few days but before that i had not had any codes for a week or so. They should have it released soon. I have not spoke to them but I would think with in the month yall should see it out on the market.

What if I just bought the "Black box" from BADP do you think you would get almost the same results or would it just be foolish to do so? I was at BADP last week and they said they had the "Code Free" box and it was an extra $200?

The blackbox is all you should need. Tap into your sensors and have at it.

Does BADP have a web site to order from or do you have to just email them? I have an 07.5 3500 6.7 just bought my truck before I came to Iraq. I had no problems before I left but I only put about 5000 mile on it. I have been reading alot of your guys post and would like to do the DPF delete when I get back before I do get problems.

Thanks Tex. So if I get the one with the box (modual thing) do I need to still get an edge or bully dog or will it be fine with just the box end exhaust? This is my first diesel so I have lots of question. And lots of time before I get back to find out what stuff to do.

So Dog Man, why have you had the truck to the dealer? Is it for DPF full messages?

freedspirot Did they tell run 65 with cruise off for about 45min that would start cleaning out dpf. I suggest doing the deletes egr and dpf will help your truck and prolong its life

Mine was in the shop 14 times in 6000 miles, Needed a new turbo, DPF was acting up...... Thus the reason we put the dpf delete on it. Then the truck started leaking, and having all kinds of steering problems and the dealer would fix it, about 100 miles later got the same thing. Now we got rid of it and have a 2nd gen. but to answer your question some trucks are lemons, like mine was. $50000 waste lol
