Hey all
Ive been trolling around for some time now and read alot about the dpf deletes etc... i have gone through 1 turbo and about 5 dealership visits for CEL etc... My milage is awful and i was trying to trade out and get back into a 5.9 but im so upside down in my loan it wont work.. Towing my boat i just got 9.5 mpg that wont work for me so Im kinda scared to do it because of warranty issues but i think im going to go ahead and do the emission removal... any suggestions on which company to go through.. and is it more worth it to go with the edge juice for my computer rather then the fooler box? any help is much appreciated...

Get a 6.7 cab & chassis!!!:thumbsup

Just got rid of my dpf and egr for under $100

They're cheaper, and stronger.

But in your case, get the edge first and stay with the 6.7.:thumbsup

Either company works great. H&S(PDI) or BADP. Both come with fooler boxes that are needed. The edge is only used to clear the soft codes currently thrown from the fooler box. Code free ones are on their way.

This of course is dependent on circumstances and variable. Some dealerships will work with you because they know the problems associated with these trucks, others will not. Some states will enforce emissions standards others do not. I live in Montana. Luckily, my state could care less about emissions. So you need to do some research.

More than likely you will void your warranty but you can always put your emissions stuff on for a trip to the dealership. Most find the 6.7 worth it even if it means being slightly inconvenienced. even the stock engine has loads of power.

I would wait till a DPF and EGR code free delete come out that prove worthy. Should not be too long now.:thumbsup

I've got the H&S code free kit on my truck and so far its done well. Haven't seen a single code from it and it sounds and smokes like a real truck now. Overall I'm pleased with the product.

Where do you live? Ive yet to hear anyone receive a fine (HERE IN TEXAS) for emmisions alter on a 6.7L cummins turbo diesel.

Some people have had minor issues but most are related to a loose connection or something simple like that. No Catastrophic Failures that i know of.

Not sure what codes you had, but if you've already been through a turbo, you probably don't want to ignore the EGR. The DPF is a real annoyance for sure, but that EGR is pure evil, and it's all that extra soot from the EGR that's killing the turbos.

Just my $.02...
