Hey everyone my radio and cab light have not been working recently and the last thing i remember that could have caused it was when i couldnt get my cab light to shut off

closed both doors, turned off all interior lights, removed the key and still would flicker on and off, it finally blew the iod fuse and now pops as soon as you put a new one in

so i want to check the door jamb switch to see if it is shorted out

HOW DO I REMOVE THE DOOR JAMB SWITCH (passenger side)

You just pull on the switches till they come out of the jamb. The wires and everything will come with it and you just disconnect the harness. Those switches are $5 a piece on rock auto. I thought I might have had the same issue with my truck but the lights just stay on period so I have a different issue that I can't identify (I have a thread discussing this also). I've just been running without the fuse which sucks.

Basically. You can wiggle it too. You don't need tools, I pulled mine out with my fingers yesterday.

However, if you pull them and the lights don't go out, then you're probably in the same boat as I am. You can follow the thread I started to help you diagnose it, as I will keep everyone updated on what I figure out
