Ok guys I'm at my wits end on this one, last Sunday I had a short and it blew the fuse for the dashlights and dome lights, took me a day but I found the short it was a wire that the previius owner ran and spliced into the dome lights wire behind the A pillar, I repaired it and wired the wire back in like he had ( this was for an aftermarket alarm he installed and did a hack job on it) once I got it fixed I replaced the fuse and my dash lights worked again and my dome lights came on and will not go out now, I don't have the keyless key fob for this truck and just use the grey key. So today I went out and I removed the aftermarket alarm and buttoned everything back up the way it should be and STILL can't get the dome lights to go out, I'm thinking due to the short it screwed up the built in relay in the light switch, I've tried disconnecting the batterys for about 45minutes to see if that would reset the brain and that didn't work either, with me not having a fob for this truck and being able to lock and unlock the door remotely could this be causing the problem? or should I just order a new headlight switch assembly and see if that fixes? I'm hoping I don't have to take it to the dealer and pay out you now what. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ben
