Can anyone tell me where the fuse is for the dome light? It's also the one for the constant power to the radio. All my fuses on the dash and under hood are good so I'm not sure where it's at. Thanks!

Probably the IOD fuse in the fuse box, it has the black cover around it and you pull it out and the top flips over to pull the fuse. It's for all things that have constant power when the switch is off.

It's the one in the side of the dash when you open the door.

Yea I checked all them too the one specific to radio is just fine. I don't have a constant going to my radio either it always resets itself everytime I turn truck off

01 FSM says fuse 12 in the junction block is for the map lights. (Section 8W-49) Clunk keeps posting a link to the FSM.

It's wired correctly and wired to the yellow constant wire coming from the stock wiring harness. When I hook the yellow constant on truck and the yellow constant on radio there is nothing won't turn on or anything. Now when have those 2 hooked up to a wire from a constant from the fuse box on the dash (#14 right now can't remember what it's to) I have constant to radio and it doesn't reset AND my dome light comes on when won't if I don't have them hooked up like that. I am just wondering if there is a dedicated fuse to the constant on the stock harness because I know it correlates with the dome light.

please tell me you bought a stereo installation harness? i have personally put in over 12 different radios into 2nd gen dodges, never ever had one that wouldnt keep its memory when it was wired up correctly.

the red wire is usually the constant power on the deck, and the yellow is usually switched power.

again check your wiring at the radio you messed something in there up badly.

I just put a new stereo in and yes I used a harness I am not about to start cutting OEM wires.

The previous stereo that was in I didn't disconnect the bat cable and a couple wires touched and that's when it happened where my dome light won't turn on unless ignition key is turned. Won't turn on when I just open door which it always did and I had never had memory on that stereo.

I know it's hooked up right and the yellow wires themselves on both truck harness and radio harness say battery constant 12+ and the red say ignition or acc.

When the last radio was installed I'm assuming I blew a fuse but checked all my fuses and I'm good

I'll do that. If that's not it because I am sure nice checked all my fuses and they all light up and look good when I pull em would putting a small add a circuit work by putting it into a constant fuse and adding 2 fuses for it? Not sure if that's a smart thing to do or not.

Weird how that works. And another thing I wanna pick your brain about if you know what it is... the stock has a bunch of wires going to some sort of thing that's attached to the speaker I'm assuming a small amp? I've never seen anything like it. But when I plug a new speaker into it from the 2 connections that went to the actual terminals in the stock speaker, it is all crackly. Any ideas what I can do?

Problem is over this last winter my speakers quit working if it was cold out. Tweeters would just barely work and now sound from the doors. After the truck inside got warm or if it was hot outside they all would work so have no idea what was happening with that which is why I got new speakers.
