Over the past few days I have noticed a few weird feelings coming from the Dodge. First off, the truck starts and idles just fine. Take off feels smooth, but when I get on the highway and get to around 55 to 70 the truck feels like its hopping back and forth. (If it were a gas powered truck I would relate it to the feeling when the motor misses.) Then once up to speed and you get on the gas to pass someone it feels as if the power just cuts off and there isnt and power going to the wheels, the RPMs don't increase either.

Do these symptoms sound like a transmission issue, or an issue with the motor not being fed enough fuel?

(by the way, the only performance modifications this truck has is a SuperChip plug in, a new injection pump and a Raptor 100 Lift Pump.)

how old is the air filter also do you have a fuel presser gauge on the truck and try using the key truck to see if there is any code stored on the computer

Mine (98 2500 gasser) had the exact same problem - push on the gas and nothing happens at 55-70mph, sometimes it even drops about 5mph. I replaced the gov. pressure solenoid and the transmission OD&lockup solenoid and it appears the problem is gone now.

The parts were ~$100 and it took me less than 30 min to change, but I opted out replacing the wiring harness :)

I'm having the same problems, your injection pump may b goin out. Read the codes on it. P0216 is the code. Ur lift pump probably failed and ur injection pump has to pull fuel and eventually fails also. If the truck surges it's definatly ip. Check ur accelerator positioning sensor

did you check your codes? is your check engine light on?

its either:

-clogged fuel filter
-bad apps (more times than not it this will throw code)
-bad/dirty map sensor (more times than not this will throw code)- - -take it out and clean it.
-fuel pressure problem-got a fp guage?
-torque converter problem
-injector pump failing.

I had it looked at today, it did have the P0216 code like Jared02 said, so I took it to the shop that installed a new computer, lift pump, and injection pump in it just 5 months ago. They can't look at it for 2 weeks. So I am assuming the lift pump is going bad again, which should be under warranty. Hopefully the shop takes care of it, because I shelled out over $1,600 (cost split with the dealer, so was actually $3,200) in labor costs to get it fixed the first time.

We will see what happens, I will keep you guys updated on the situation.
