I just got this truck a few months back. Im gettin ready to put into a new sound system. I want to mount my amps behind the rear seats. Does it fold forward. Or is it stationed against the back of the cab? Dumb question I know. Im used to my old chevy. I probabley shouldent say that on here.

There are hooks that secure it to the back of the cab, I took the 4 bolts out that fasten the seat to the floorboards and was able to fold the back seat down with some finesse. If you cut a small amount of the hook off you can make it so the seat back will come down when you lift the bottom, easy mod just don't cut too much off or you won't be able to lock the back of the seat back.

Even if after it folds forward I can't imagine there is anywhere near enough room to mount an amp. Can't see more than 1/2" between the seat and wall.

seat is angled back. like /| More room towards the bottom.

Only thing is when you lift the bottom up the rear moves back so over all there might not be enough room for amps. Mount them under the seats. I did. However I dont have power seats either. Made a little bracket the that bolts to the seat frames do the amps are not sitting on the floor. Kinda floating under the seats. Wires come through the carpet under the amps.

I mounted mine behind the rear seat in my last second gen. Kept it low enough where you could still see it and make adjustmenta.
