i have an 06 3500 4x4 6-spd 3.73, and i pull a lot of heavy loads. i'm easy on the truck when pulling, i want manual hubs for reverse when backing heavy loads up hill while twisting and turning so i can put it in the low side without breaking something.

Dynatrac and EMS off road both offer manual hubs - I've heard rumors of several other companies that might be coming up with something as well.

The Dynatrac is more expensive than the EMS kit the last time I checked.

Dynatrac is the way to go. Pricey at about $1700 but if you did it on a brand new truck and you plan on keeping it for 200k or so it would pay for itself in fuel savings and maintenance. I don't know anything about the EMS kit.

:thumbsup

The truck steers much better around town and you can feel the difference....

I use it all the time with hubs unlocked on the low side... It's just like having a RoadRanger with a deep reduction.

Great for hooking up and backing up with a JD350 dozer on the trailer !!!!

Since I don't actually use 4wd that much I took my front shaft out. Once I can afford the manual hubs I'll throw it back it. Truck even rides better with it out.
