Good pics and cutoff on those XB lights - I'll have to contact Lightwerkz to hear his actual impressions on them - The rotation is off on that left headlight slightly and not sure if its able to be adjusted out (usually rotation is not)

I have a 2018 and have AlfaOBD so not too worried - also curious if you can elect to *not* hook up the DRL - I prefer to use the LED strips as traditional parking lights only.

Yeah I had the factory turn signals turned on via alpha as my DRl’s Before these got installed.
You don’t have to install the white bar DRL harness for these lights and use the turns or whatever you want for your DRl’s
In this photo, you can see the turns are acting as DRl’s via the BCM, and the white bars are also on. The DRL’s on the XB’s are activated via a small stand alone wiring harness that has an Add-a-fuse and pulls power from fuse #66 which is the sunroof. So anytime there truck is on, the DRl’s Are on.

I think, if i could get those with amber strips instead of white, and having them work in conjunction with the turn signal/running lights, i would be more inclined to buy them. but that's just me

Normally, I’d think it wood be pretty easy to accomplish that since the DRL wiring harness is just 1 positive plug on the back, but they have circuitry involved because they dim anytime the parking/turn is activated. So it won’t be as easy is one would hope. Plus the amber. Well. Different board.

Maybe once they are out for awhile they will begin to have options. Like chrome housings instead of just black.

I now offer these lights and will gladly help anyone out with purchasing a set of LED Bulbs as well if needed.

They are still on Pre-Order and will be shipping sometime in march give or take as we all know there will more then likely be some difficulties.

No, it's not just you.

I don't care for how they look, or the black housings, or the white strips, but I do care about having good headlights.
Otherwise I wouldn't have ordered a set.

I’ll try to get you some wall photos. Issue is I live in the sticks. Any walls are in town. We just have cows 🤣

I have zero issues others have had. When they shipped I had my distributor install my lights on his truck to get his feedback on them. He has a 14 and he had he hyper flash and lane change issues on his truck. The exact same light have zero issues on my truck. I’ve had them for a little over two weeks and 600 miles or so with night driving every day and no hiccups at all.
It appears all the issues are on the newer trucks.
Here’s one photo before they were fully adjusted.
So you can adjust them so they are level?

“The results are in and they are overwhelmingly positive.”

“However, you want the best, brightest, and most badass headlights for your Ram ever created..”

Ok of the 51 they’ve sent out people are already experiencing issues. How are the results overwhelmingly positive? Also, do they really believe that these are the best and most brightest?

I believe both statements are inaccurate. Are they in desperate times right now trying to keep people from bailing? Is that why they’re making such bold statements?

I’m still a fan and customer of TRS. I’ll continue to be. Heck I just bought some goodies last night. It’s simply a very interesting response

Thank you so much for the pic and explanation that is super helpful!

So in my application if I chose these lights I would just not install the extra wiring harness for DRL at all and leave it out of the truck -

Couple remaining questions
-Are the turn signals able to be changed from sequential to "regular" blink on/off?
-Did you upgrade from quad halogens or projectors?
-How is the housing plastic and lens plastic, in feel/thickness, quality etc, compared to the OEM headlights that were removed?

I'd love to see some Lux meter readings on these - if the sequential turn signal is changed easily those were my two gripes with the function of the lights - if the quality is there I will absolutely keep them in the running.

On the other hand, its more in the long run but getting black projectors and retrofitting them with a proper xenon projector or just running them with PnP HID likely will give the same increase in lighting output, with OEM quality.

No wonder this room is so dark and empty.....

While i do prefer the function of any item, form should also be there too. The aesthetics haven't grown on me, and until there is some true comparisons against a set of factory and aftermarket projectors, the OEM projectors perform very well, while maintaining a better aesthetic IMHO. So you can have your cake and eat it too. I'm just not completely sold, and at the price tag they want those lights need to out perform the vast majority of the market, while maintaining a visual aesthetic that is pleasing to the driver. While my thoughts on it are certainly not everyone's, i highly doubt i'm alone in my thoughts. Hopefully once they figure out the rest of the kinks they will start giving people options for customizing the LED boards without a substantial up-charge. at that point, i would consider getting a set I just know my preference of removing the white, make both upper and lower amber and work as traditional running lights and turn signals.

Well, to me the OE projectors look a bit like the eyes on Homer Simpson dolls, so in an ideal world I'd have basic quads. If only they worked worth a damn.

GREAT. Thanks for getting that visual stuck in my head. You just ruined my lights for me. Now you have to explain to Nick why we can't do another trade of lights unless he has a set of XBs to send my way.....

Did I read that these lights have integrated LEDs instead of traditional LED bulbs like a H11 or 9005, etc?

If so that’s a no go for me. If you have an LED go out it’s a full replacement or maybe an internal board of some sort?

I just installed a set of OEM projectors with HIDs. While they don’t have the razor sharp cutoff line of the retrofit style projectors they are a HUGE improvement over the Quads. I’m using the Morimoto powerhouse 35/55 ballasts and they are very bright. High beam has a lot of distance throw.
