I was in Mammoth, CA this past weekend and we saw a Ram with Bluetec badges on the side. I didn't have my phone to get any pics, but I haven't heard that this is available yet either. I know that the Bluetec is from Mercedes.

Proto/Mule? It was a 2500 with a Big Horn package. Didn't notice the plates to see what state it was from.

Anyone gots any info on these?

Thanks,
Don

The Bluetec badge started going on in early 2007 when Dodge started putting the 6.7L in the Rams. The 6.7L is 50 state emission compliant so all Rams with the 6.7L have the badge unless it was debadged like many people do.

I have seen the badge before on the tailgate, and have read in magazines where they refer to a Bluetec 6.7 but I don't know what it means. We ordered ours w/ a 6.7 from the factory and never had the badge.

Thanks for the replies.

I thought that when MBZ used that name on their cars, it referred to their system that uses urea injection into the exhaust instead of all of the filters and BS. So I thought that this was something new.

oh well. Thanks again.

My truck has the 2"x 4" badge on the lower left of the tailgate. ive seen the the mercedes diesel cars with a bluetec badge on the road way last year sometime and didnt see it again till i was at the stealership gettin my truck. All it is the two cats and pdf for emissions the MB cars have more sensors from what ive read. Now the real question is..Is my truck or engine still a bluetec?? Hope this help answer any questions about the little badge on the tailgate
