alright, heres the thing, me and a few friends are going to float the river next weekend and my buddy has a camper that he was going to pull with his powerjoke, well he j ust called me and said that its starting to spudder make some weird nosies, anyways, i told him i could probablyu pull it instead. well ive pulled it before, when my truck as stock and of course it pulled it like a champ (my buddy was impressed lol) well now that i have 8" lift and bigger tires, im a little skeptical about pulling a 10,000 pound bumper pull trailer ya know. what do yall think, will my tranny be alright, as long as i dont drive it like i stole it?

thanks :headbang:

I seen giant lifted trucks pull huge trailers and never saw any have problems. Most just look stupid sagging 1foot down on the rear end. I only seen a few with air bags sitting level.
I think it will be OK I don't think the trailer will pull any different if the truck is stock hight or lifted 2 foot as long as you keep both truck and trailer level.
I don't see how your tranny will be effected now because you lifted your truck

Well if you have good cooling products youll be fine, before my XRT i had the edge but i also head BD intercooler, and intake tube, and airbox so i was good i ran in 4th with mp8 on 60

Well i dont really know, its just something you have to experiment with, every truck is different so i really do not know, as far as the lift youll be fine (youll look like a squattin dog but youll be fine) Id say i was running 1250 to 1450 like that without an intercooler so id tack on 200 degrees

Trailer sag

I pulled my 10,000 lb trailer with the superlift six inch and it did sag before I put airbags on it. I would be careful over a bumpy highway. as you bounce, the front end will rise and lengthen the front driveline, pulling the front axel and T case. I had to replace the front driveline but the T case and front axel was fine.

while towing all you really need to be worried about is your tranny temp, you can put your edge and mp-8 how eva you want, but watch your tranny. have you regeared it yet?? iv got a ford with 42's on it and 10" lift and i town my boat with it it dont sag at all but with not regearing it its hard on the tranny.

well i just got back, and well the truck did great (as expected) pulling it, i had my edge on 2 and mp8 either off or on like 25% or so, egts were around 1150 or so on flat ground @70 mph. but when i was going over an overpass it would get up to about 1400 or so then i would let off. engine temp was around 208-212 i guess thats normal, but the one thing that did bother me was my tranny temp. i know techcummins said that was probably gonna be a problem, but its weird, when i was crusing it was at like 170-180 but as soon as i got into a city, or something, or just stop at a light, it would shoot right up, got up to like 215. i wouldnt think this is normal, it does this when im not pulling anything too, thought that was odd to but yeah idk, i guess a double deep pan is in need. but i mean what else can i do? or am i just blowing this up and shouldnt worry about it lol.
