My son just bought a 2022 Ram 1500 and the dealer had $8K off thru Chrysler Financing.

Sticker was $52K and after discounts and the extended warranty he financed $43K.

The dealer said they are looking to get rid of the 22 inventory....not sure if that is going to be the HD trucks or not.

My other son bought a new Challenger but they weren't giving those discounts 2 months ago on the trucks.

I have been seeing TV commercials for cash discount plus 0% Chrysler financing on 22 1500 Big Horn models.
It looks like they are offering 0% for 72 months plus no payments for 90 days on the 1500s.

Looks like you can do the same for the HD trucks with the summer event as long as you take delivery by 9/06/2022.

No sales tax in your state? That was a good deal. Hopefully he got the factory supported service agreement.

He got the extended warranty and maintenance for life.

My wife and kids are Tribal members and we live on the Reservation so they pay a flat $25 for Registration and they do not pay State tax or very little.

Iam not so lucky...I do add my wife as a buyer on all my trucks as it saves me 50% of my registration cost. Arizona bases the registration fee as 10% of the current Value...so on a $90K truck it saves me about $450.

Aside from that being Native in Arizona doesn't get you much 😂😂.

At least her tribe anyway....they don't even share casino money.

So, he got $9k off sticker plus free super duper warranty and service for life?
Or did you leave out the downpayment?
Because by normal math, what you said = well over $10k off.

But short - answer - yes. His trade was a Civic which with the discounts they shorted him about $1K on what he owed. Jim Click Ford/Dodge/Nissan offers service for life on all their vehicles.

He saved about $500 in registration and about $3K in taxes. (Native American perks)

No cash down.

Actually 9K.

52-43 = 9

Dealer discount was 8K

Finance manger is a childhood friend of mine - so he got the extended warranty at dealer cost.
So basically he got an unheard of deal, or fuzzy math
What am I missing?
$52k + 1k (out of pocket on Civic payoff) + $2-3k ? (whatever the cost of the ext warranty and service plan is, being generous since it was "dealer cost") + registration (basically zero you said) + tax (zero you said) = $55-56k, correct?
- $8k off sticker = $ 47-48k total cost

No money down (you said) = He had to get in the neighborhood of $12-13k off the sticker price to come up with only owing $43k based on the info you provided or your math is significantly off.

It's that new math called Common core.

There are dealers out there that have been selling HD Rams at 4% under INVOICE for over the past year…this on custom ordering with price protection.

I ordered a BH dually in Dec, MSRP was $73k. Agreed upon price was $64.5k

truck was delivered in late Feb and the MSRP on the window sticker was $76k - I still paid the $64.5k

something sitting on the lot wont be bought for the same discount…but the point is that there are deals out there they would be a good deal pre-COVID that 99% of the people truck shopping don’t know about

i’m seeing some random websites/dealerships mark new Laramie and other higher trims about 6-7k below MSRP. which is a good sign. hopefully that becomes wide spread as if we r buying trucks in 2015 again
